Teenagers Taking Control;

As a mother of teenagers, I have been spending some time asking them "What is it that you need from us as Parents?" It was interesting that my Daughter came up with a remark that made me sit and listen; it was so simple and yet how many of us take our children for granted?

Amie said "When I come home from school, all I wish for is to chat for awhile, to discuss how my day was." This was remarkable, as understanding life coaching, I realised that being a female, she wanted to have the interaction with her parents upon finishing school, however she was also looking at downloading the events of the day.......

I am pleased to say that every day when she walks in the door, I am ready to have a yarn with her... and I love every minute of it. For her I believe that the fact that she is being heard has been a great learning tool for her own personal development.
