Life and the Lessons to be had....
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday and seminar onboard the Independence of the Seas... We were fortunate enough to spend 13 nights onboard this luxury liner and have our Mentors Paul and Mary Blackburn, Directors of Beyond Success conduct four seminars... Our learnings were exceptional, we were able to look at our own Wealth issues, Break through old patters of our personal money beliefs, and those of us feeling Stuck, able to explore these issues. We are so fortunate to now have this information avaiable to share with our clients.
The trip took us from South Hampton in the UK, stopping at France, Spain and Portugal, arriving in Ft Launderdale in the US.... We decided to fly out of New York after spending a night here....
Our flight from Newark airport, was off to a great start, until minutes after take off, a bird struck one of the engines....The plane shuddered and made an awful sound. The Pilot advised us that he was unsure of the amount of damage and that we were going to dump all the fuel over the next 20 minutes and return to Newark, he also mentioned about the greeting that we will receive from the Fire Department and Emergency Response team..... I must say as traumatic as this was, I am very proud of my family, we all stayed calm and composed. Upon arriving though, the emotions in myself were flowing, I turned to Kevin and said that there was a lesson in that for all of us, not just us personally but all the passengers. I definately got my lesson, loud and clear....
The airline looked after us well, issuing food vouchers, notifing us of the next flight, as we missed our connecting flights, they provided us with accomodation etc...
There were some passengers though that were complaining about not being upgraded to first class, it left me thinking, How many more lessons will it take for these people to get it? and will they be a fortunate as they were this time?
Life can be mysterious, I personally think that we should embrace our life lessons, if we are unsure what the lesson is... Just ask yourself... What was there to be learnt from that experience, the answer may not come as a lightening bolt, but over time you will understand and grow from the experience....
