The Secret to Success - In Life or Business.

Lets take a look at each of these elements in turn, see how it contributor to success and discover how you can get it.

Sense of Direction - How does this apply to the important decisions in your life? There is a hazard that your goals can be fragmented by the abundance of choices. Success today requires a sense of direction that enables you to steer a path among all these choices to find the once that are right for you. A sense of direction actually amounts to a "sense of several directions."

Understanding - The Art of Two-way communication.

Doe you remember the old childen's game of gossip or telephone? You sat in a circle. Someone whispered a phrase to the person on her right. He then repeated what he heard to the person on his right, and so on around the circle. By the time the message got back to the person who originated, it was hopelessly garbled, and everyone dissolved in a giggling fit.

Great fun wasn't it.. The trouble is that communication between adults too often resembles a game of telephone. The message sent is not always the message received. "Most of our failures in human relations, Maltz Wrote, are due to misunderstandings." We should remember that no one reacts to things as they are, but to his own mental images.

Courage - A prerequisite for Creating Change

Change can be terrifying; old habits can be comforting event when we acknowledge that we want to change. We stay stuck in dull, dead -end jobs because they provide security. We seek out relationships for their familiarity and comfort value, not recognising the patter were in but concluding after each unhappy experience that "men (or women) are all alike. We fail to confront an abusive person because we fear that a change in the nature of the relationship might be worse than the pain of abuse.

Charity - Another Word for Respect.

"Successful personalities have some interest in and regard for other people Maltz wrote They have a respect for others problems and needs." They respect the dignity of the human personality and deal with other people as if they were human beings, rather than as pawns in their own game. They recognise that every person is a child of God and is a unique individuality who deserves some for of dignity and respect.

Esteem - The Keystone of Success

Having a low opinion of yourself is not modesty its self-destruction. Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not egotism its a necessary precondition to happiness and success.

Self-Confidence - Keeping that goal within reach.
The art of self-confidence begins with clear images of success. us your goals and your past successes as guideposts to future success by these principles.
Let imagined success become real success, Learn from your disappointments, Focus on your past successes, Let success build on success, watch our for crabs (people who try to undermine your self-confidence by ridiculing your efforts), Be open to your true feelings (Emotional Intelligence)

Self-Acceptance - Acknowledging Your Worth
The cornerstone of happiness is accepting yourself as a worthy human being, "The most miserable and tortured people in the world,Matlz wrote are those who are continually straining and striving to connivence themselves and others that they are something other than what they basically are and there is no relief of satisfaction like that that comes when on finally gives up the shams and pretences and is willing to be himself."

Success to me is Awareness. Being Totally aware of my physical, emotionial and mental states. Being in a place that I can contribute to the higher good of mankind.
